Conference Update

The Primary PE Conference 2026

We're delighted to confirm The Primary PE Conference 2026 is back! We return to Dauntsey's School on Tuesday 20th October 2026.

We're thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker is Dr Vicky Randall, Senior Advisor and ITE Lead at afPE and one of the draft writers of the new PE curriculum. Vicky will be opening the day with "Preparing for Change in Physical Education", helping you understand what's coming and how to get your school ready. The rest of the agenda is focused on what matters most to PE leads right now, with practical workshops on assessment, inclusion and SEND, EYFS, active travel and cross-curricular orienteering.

Hear what this year's delegates had to say...

Vanessa, obviously expert in her field, gave me confidence to take actions back to school and explore EYFS screening

Great communication before, during & after the event. Enjoyed the workshops & keynote speakers.

The keynote speakers were amazing and the range of workshops have been very useful.

The practical element was great and so useful for the gymnastics. Huge takeaways. I really loved the first keynote speaker and the importance of play and how we can ensure it is embedded in our school.

Well done I was really impressed It felt professional and informative but also informal and comfortable for staff to contribute.

It can be quite daunting coming to these things on your own but PH ActiveEd scooped me right up at the door and I felt right at ease. Great chance to share, pair and listen to others in the same boat. I have made some great contacts and have left feeling re-energised and positive about leading my subject.

The keynote note speakers were informative, inspiring and empowering. I left the conference feeling reinvigorated to lead PE back in school. Thank you for a truly great conference.

The workshops were varied, full of useful info and knowledge. I definitely think I picked the best ones for what I wanted to gain from the day and I was not disappointed in any of it.

It was great to be able to share ideas with other schools to get understanding on what works and what doesn't, being able to discuss how other PE leads overcome barriers and to be able to reflect on the work currently done in my school and be able to say that I am doing a good job!
